Take Whip to maximum level, hold Hollow Heart, and then open a chest that can contain an evolution.
How to make Bloody Tear
- Take Whip and Hollow Heart.
- Raise Whip to maximum level.
- Once both requirements are ready, open an evolution-capable chest.
Hollow Heart only needs to be in your inventory for this regular evolution. Keep an evolution-capable chest available until Whip reaches maximum level.
What changes after evolution
Bloody Tear attacks horizontally in front of and behind the character. Critical hits restore health. Cover the vertical directions with another weapon, and do not rely on healing alone when enemies have already surrounded you.
The official Steam Bloody Tear achievement is completed by evolving Whip.
