How to Unlock and Use Gennaro Belpaese

Short answer: buy Gennaro with coins, with no achievement required

Gennaro Belpaese is an early character who can be bought without an achievement. The displayed price scales with previous character purchases, so use the value shown in your game.

Using the +1 Amount bonus

Gennaro adds one projectile to weapons that respond to Amount. Knife travels in the direction the character faces, so turn toward the enemies blocking your route instead of expecting automatic targeting.

Taking several weapons that benefit from Amount makes broader use of his passive. Weapons that ignore Amount do not gain an extra attack, so the bonus does not apply to everything.

First-run plan

1. Buy Gennaro from Character Selection.
2. Face Knife toward enemies to open a path.
3. Add weapons such as King Bible or Santa Water that benefit from Amount.
4. Take Bracer if you plan to evolve Knife.

Common mistakes

• The purchase price is not permanently fixed.
• Knife fires in the faced direction rather than automatically targeting the nearest enemy.
• +1 Amount does not affect weapons that ignore the Amount stat.
