How to Unlock and Use Brad Fang
Quick answer: open the coffin in Hectic Highway
Item | Details |
|---|---|
Required DLC | Operation Guns |
Unlock condition | Open the coffin in Hectic Highway |
Starting weapon | Firearm |
Next unlock | Evolve Firearm to unlock Browny |
Spell | `alwaysarmednevershaved` |
Brad Fang follows Lucia Zero in the main Operation Guns chain. Evolve C-U-Laser to unlock Hectic Highway, then open the coffin inside that stage.
Unlock steps
- Evolve C-U-Laser to unlock Hectic Highway.
- Select Hectic Highway.
- Follow the question-mark marker toward the coffin.
- Defeat the enemies guarding the coffin.
- Touch the coffin to unlock Brad Fang.
- Finish the run and purchase Brad on the character selection screen.
See the Hectic Highway stage guide for the route through the scrolling stage. The purchase price scales with previous character purchases, so use the amount shown in your game.
Spell alternative
After obtaining the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane and unlocking spell entry, enter `alwaysarmednevershaved` in the Secrets menu. You still need the Operation Guns DLC.
Evolve Firearm next
Requirement | Condition |
|---|---|
Firearm | Level 8 (maximum) |
Weapon Power-Up | Hold it |
Candelabrador | Hold it |
Treasure chest | Open after meeting the requirements |
Opening an evolution-capable chest with all requirements converts Firearm into Fire-L3GS and unlocks Browny. Weapon Power-Up is consumed by the evolution, so obtain another one if you want to evolve another Operation Guns weapon in the same run.
How to use Brad Fang
Brad starts with 200 Max Health and +20% Might. Missing health can reduce his Cooldown by up to 50% and increase his Move Speed and Projectile Speed by up to 10%.
You do not need to force the low-health bonus for Browny's unlock. Prioritize Firearm, Weapon Power-Up, and Candelabrador, then complete the evolution safely.
If it does not unlock
- Evolve C-U-Laser first if Hectic Highway is unavailable.
- Defeat all enemies around the coffin before touching it.
- Raise Firearm to level 8.
- Confirm that you hold both Weapon Power-Up and Candelabrador.
- Open an evolution-capable chest after meeting the requirements.
