Hector unlock guide: Scorpion Gate and Bomber Coins

Quick answer: find seven Bomber Coins after opening Scorpion Gate

Hector unlocks after you open Scorpion Gate and then find seven Bomber Coins. Progress through the castle and complete the gate prerequisite before collecting toward the unlock.

Who this guide is for

• You want the exact requirement for unlocking Hector.
• Collecting Bomber Coins has not advanced the unlock.
• You need the route prerequisite for Scorpion Gate.

Unlock steps

1. Obtain Stallion Gate and reach the Laboratory.
2. Defeat Puppet Master in the southeast part of the Laboratory.
3. Collect Scorpion Gate to open the gate.
4. After the gate is open, find seven Bomber Coins.
5. Check the unlock notification for Hector.

Scorpion Gate opens access toward the Library and Stairway and activates the Laboratory warp destination. The Ode to Castlevania map guide covers the full gate order.

If Hector does not unlock

• Confirm that Scorpion Gate was opened before collecting toward the condition.
• Confirm that the pickups are Bomber Coins.
• Check the Unlocks screen for the current condition and progress.

This guide does not assert whether all seven must be collected in one run. Use the in-game Unlocks progress as the deciding record.
