Vampire Survivors Out of Bounds Guide: Unlock and Freeze Explosions

The short answer: reach minute 31 in Gallo Tower

Out of Bounds (XII) is unlocked by reaching 31:00 in Gallo Tower. Freezing an enemy creates an explosion, and Orologions become easier to find.

The card does not give every attack a freeze effect. Combine it with Clock Lancet or another freeze source so the freeze can trigger the explosion.

Unlock steps

1. Unlock Gallo Tower.
2. Start with a character and build focused on survival.
3. Survive past 30:00 and reach 31:00.
4. After the run, confirm that Out of Bounds (XII) is unlocked.

Using the effect

1. Obtain Clock Lancet or another way to freeze enemies.
2. Select Out of Bounds and use freeze explosions as extra damage.
3. Break light sources and use the increased access to Orologions.
4. Prefer another Arcana when the build has no freeze source.

Infinite Corridor also freezes enemies, so Out of Bounds can support a late-game special-evolution run.
