How to unlock Kugutsu

Answer: defeat Divine Wood Spirit in Inverse Miyako City

Kugutsu unlocks when you defeat Divine Wood Spirit in Miyako City on Inverse Emerald Diorama. No specific character is required, but the stage must be in Inverse mode.

Steps

1. Unlock Emerald Diorama and complete the normal progression needed to access its worlds.
2. Enable Inverse mode when starting Emerald Diorama.
3. Travel to Miyako City using the inverted layout.
4. Defeat Divine Wood Spirit to complete the Kugutsu unlock.

Avoid the wrong route

Inverse Emerald Diorama flips the junction layout both vertically and horizontally. Use the area name, Miyako City, and the boss name rather than following the direction from the normal map unchanged.
