To add Bone to the normal level-up pool, select Mortaccio and start a run. You do not need to survive for a set time or clear a specific stage.
How to unlock Bone
- Unlock and buy Mortaccio.
- Select Mortaccio on the character screen.
- Start any stage.
- Check for Bone in later level-up choices.
Mortaccio starts with Bone, so the unlock run also lets you test the weapon.
How Bone attacks
Bone fires in a random direction and bounces from enemies, walls, and screen edges. It is not a precision weapon for one chosen target. Use enemy groups and nearby walls to create more chances for a projectile to bounce into something.
The weapon starts with few projectiles and unreliable coverage. Carry another weapon that can clear the space directly in front of you instead of relying on Bone alone to open an escape route.
If Bone does not unlock
- Confirm that Mortaccio has been purchased.
- Start a stage instead of returning from character selection.
- A weapon pool is random, so one missing level-up choice does not prove the unlock failed.
- Reopen the Collection after the run.
