Mad Groove (VIII) is unlocked by reaching minute 31 in Mad Forest. Once selected, it attracts stage items, pickups, and light sources toward the character every two minutes.
It is useful when collecting distant map items would otherwise consume much of the run. The effect is periodic, not a continuous vacuum.
Unlock steps
- Select Mad Forest.
- Build damage and survival tools for the enemies that appear after minute 30.
- Remain alive until the stage timer reaches 31:00.
- After the run, confirm that Mad Groove (VIII) is unlocked.
The condition requires surviving one minute past the normal 30-minute limit. Prepare defense, control, movement, or Revival options available in your current save.
When to use Mad Groove
- Bringing Yellow Sign map items closer to the character.
- Reducing travel time on a wide stage.
- Grouping pickups and light sources around one position.
- Spending more of the run building damage and defense instead of crossing the map.
You do not need to collect every item that is moved nearby. Check the weapon and passive slots before taking anything that could disrupt the intended evolution.
