Scientist Mina is unlocked by evolving Lucky Swipe. Raise Lucky Swipe to level 8 and Mini Engineer to level 3, then open an eligible chest.
Step-by-step unlock
- Select Engineer Gino.
- Raise Lucky Swipe to level 8.
- Obtain Mini Engineer.
- Raise Mini Engineer to level 3.
- Open an eligible chest after both are maxed.
- Confirm the evolution into Crossed Wires.
- Finish the run and check character selection for Scientist Mina.
Engineer's Rerolls make it easier to prioritize Lucky Swipe levels. For a dedicated unlock run, avoid filling the weapon slots with equipment that competes for level-ups before Lucky Swipe is ready.
Spell alternative
If the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane has unlocked spell input, enter `sciencepink`. This bypasses the character condition, but it does not register the DLC weapon evolution in the Collection.
Choose Scientist's level-scaling bonuses
Scientist starts with Science Rocks. Every 10 levels, Luck drops by 10% until the penalty reaches 90%. At levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50, Scientist can choose a stat that gains a per-level bonus.
Growth is useful as an early selection in a short progression run because it helps reach the later choices sooner. Might or Cooldown supports general damage, while Area, Speed, and Duration should match the weapons in the build. Repeating the same choice creates a specialized character; spreading the choices produces a broader build. Account for the Luck penalty before relying on Luck-sensitive weapons.
Evolve Science Rocks next
To unlock Shapeshifter Nino, raise Science Rocks to level 8 and Mini Scientist to level 3, then open a chest to evolve it into Rocket Science. Science Rocks is added to the regular weapon pool by reaching level 50 as Scientist, so both objectives can be completed in the same run.
If Scientist does not unlock
- Confirm Lucky Swipe is level 8.
- Confirm Mini Engineer is level 3.
- Open the chest after both requirements are complete.
- Do not use Mini Scientist, which belongs to the next evolution.
- Finish the results screen and reopen character selection.
