Isaac unlock guide: evolve Mace into Stamazza

Quick answer: evolve Mace into Stamazza

Isaac unlocks when you evolve Mace into Stamazza. Hector, available in the normal 20-character route, starts with Mace and removes the need to wait for it in level-up choices.

Who this guide is for

• You want Isaac's exact unlock condition.
• You need the item and levels for evolving Mace.
• You are starting the post-Black Disk weapon chain.

Unlock steps

1. Obtain Mace, preferably by starting as Hector.
2. Raise Mace to level 8.
3. Obtain Hollow Heart and raise it to level 5.
4. Open an evolution-eligible chest to obtain Stamazza.
5. Confirm that Isaac is unlocked.

Hollow Heart must reach its maximum level of 5. After unlocking Isaac, his starting Trident provides the next direct objective: unlocking Saint Germain.

If the evolution does not appear

• Confirm that Mace reached level 8.
• Confirm that Hollow Heart reached level 5.
• Open an evolution-eligible chest after both items are ready.
• Check that you leveled Mace rather than another impact weapon.
