Engineer Gino is unlocked by evolving Sharp Tongue. Use Impostor Rina's starting weapon, raise it and Mini Impostor to maximum level, and then open an eligible chest.
Step-by-step unlock
- Select Impostor Rina.
- Raise Sharp Tongue to level 8.
- Obtain Mini Impostor.
- Raise Mini Impostor to level 3.
- Open an eligible chest after both are maxed.
- Confirm the evolution into Impostongue.
- Finish the run and check character selection for Engineer Gino.
Using Impostor avoids waiting for Sharp Tongue to appear in the level-up pool. Save at least one chest until the evolution requirements are complete.
Spell alternative
If spell input is available through the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane, enter `isaworangevent`. The spell skips the evolution objective, but the Emergency Meeting DLC is still required.
Use Engineer's extra passive choices
Engineer starts with Lucky Swipe, +20% MoveSpeed, and 20 uses each of Reroll, Skip, and Banish. At levels 2, 12, and 22, Engineer can choose an additional passive item.
Fill the normal passive slots early if you want the later choices to take you beyond the usual six-item limit. Crown is useful in the first choice for faster leveling, while the later selections can complete evolution pairs or improve survival. Use the large Reroll reserve to avoid choices that do not support the planned build.
Evolve Lucky Swipe next
Scientist Mina is unlocked by raising Lucky Swipe to level 8 and Mini Engineer to level 3, then opening a chest to evolve Lucky Swipe into Crossed Wires. Survive 15 minutes as Engineer if you also want Lucky Swipe added to the regular weapon pool.
If Engineer does not unlock
- Confirm Sharp Tongue is level 8.
- Confirm Mini Impostor is level 3.
- Open the chest only after both are maxed.
- Do not use the Lucky Swipe evolution condition by mistake.
- Finish the results screen and reopen character selection.
