Raise both Flames of Misspell and Torrona's Box to maximum level, then open a chest that can contain an evolution. Merely holding Torrona's Box is not enough for this recipe.
How to make Ashes of Muspell
- Take Flames of Misspell and Torrona's Box.
- Raise both of them to maximum level.
- Once the requirements are ready, open an evolution-capable chest.
The final level of Torrona's Box sharply increases Curse. Because enemy quantity, speed, and durability also rise, establish your damage output before taking the final level in a run built around this evolution.
What changes after the evolution
Ashes of Muspell fires bursts of black flames both forward and behind the character. Its damage grows with the number of enemies defeated, letting it continue scaling as enemy density rises later in a run.
The two directions depend on where the character is facing. Turn toward the lane you most need to clear before each burst.
