Short answer: enter Astral Stair doors 46 times in total and touch the coffin in the dark room
Item | Details |
|---|---|
Prerequisite | Unlock Astral Stair |
Unlock | Enter teleport doors 46 times in total, then touch the coffin after the 46th entry |
Starting weapon | Fuwalafuwaloo |
Spell | `rescuefromtheshadows` |
Rose De Infernas is unlocked by entering Astral Stair teleport doors 46 times in total. The count persists across runs. The 46th entry sends you to a dark room, where touching the white coffin completes the unlock.
Normal unlock steps
- Reach level 80 in Inverse Inlaid Library to unlock Astral Stair.
- Enter Astral Stair and move through the teleport doors connecting the side rooms.
- Continue until your cumulative door-entry count reaches 46.
- After the 46th entry sends you to a dark room, find and touch the white coffin.
- Confirm the unlock, end the run, and buy Rose from character selection.
Repeatedly entering the same doors still advances the count. The coffin room is visibly darker than the ordinary destinations and does not require defeating coffin guards.
Spell alternative
After obtaining the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane and gaining access to spell entry, enter `rescuefromtheshadows`.
Survive the weak opening until her penalties disappear
Rose starts with Fuwalafuwaloo, +20% Move Speed, and +100 Charm, but also -90% Might and -80% Growth. Might rises by 10% every 12 levels through level 108. Growth rises by 10% every 12 levels from level 36 through 84, then by 15% at levels 96 and 108. Both penalties are gone at level 108.
Use Fuwalafuwaloo's healing and defensive coverage to survive the opening. Avoid pulling more enemies than the low early damage can handle, even though Rose's Charm increases enemy quantity.
Common mistakes
- The 46 door entries can be accumulated across multiple runs.
- The 46th entry leads to a special dark room, not a normal side room.
- Touch the coffin; no coffin guards need to be defeated.
- Plan around the severe early Might and Growth penalties.
