Mindbender is awarded automatically after you fill 50 entries in the Collection. It is not a relic you need to find on the ground in a particular stage.
Some older guides say 100 entries. That was an earlier requirement; current references list 50 entries. Check your Collection instead of waiting for 100.
How to reach 50 Collection entries
The Collection records weapons, evolved weapons, passive items, relics, and other items that you have actually obtained or used. To fill gaps efficiently:
- Start runs with characters whose starting weapons you have not used.
- Max basic weapons and create their evolutions.
- Pick passive items that are still missing from your Collection.
- Collect the base-game stage relics.
- Return to the Collection menu and confirm that 50 slots are filled.
This guide does not list every Collection cell. Early weapon evolutions and base-game relics are the most direct starting points.
Where to use Mindbender
After unlocking Mindbender, the character selection screen lets you:
- switch appearances for supported characters;
- set the maximum number of weapons for a run.
Setting the maximum to one weapon supports one-weapon challenge builds and effects that benefit from unused weapon slots. Appearance switching is only available for characters that have an alternate look.
