How to evolve Whip into Bloody Tear
- Raise Whip to level 8.
- Hold Hollow Heart at level 1 or higher.
- After meeting both conditions, open a chest that can produce an evolution.
- Confirm the evolution into Bloody Tear.
Not every chest is guaranteed to evolve a weapon. On many early normal stages, a chest from a boss that appears at or after 10 minutes is the practical starting point, but stage-specific exceptions exist.
If the evolution does not appear
- Confirm that Whip is level 8.
- Confirm that Hollow Heart is in the passive-item slots.
- Check that the passive item has not been confused with another evolution material.
- Check whether the chest could produce an evolution under that stage's conditions.
