How to Unlock and Use Cosmo Pavone
Short answer: use a character who has never collected a Golden Egg and reach the northern balcony in Cappella Magna
Item | Details |
|---|---|
Prerequisites | Obtain the Yellow Sign and unlock Zi'Assunta |
Build | A zero-Egg character, Peachone, and Ebony Wings |
Unlock | Collect the Nduja Fritta Tanto on the northern balcony and touch Cosmo |
Spell | `lhovistoio` |
Cosmo Pavone is unlocked by entering Cappella Magna with a character who has never collected a Golden Egg, keeping Peachone and Ebony Wings separate, and reaching the northern balcony. Disabling Golden Eggs is not enough when the selected character already owns Eggs.
Normal unlock steps
- Obtain the Yellow Sign and unlock Zi'Assunta from the Cappella Magna coffin.
- Select a character who has never collected a Golden Egg.
- Obtain Peachone and Ebony Wings in Cappella Magna. Do not unite them into Vandalier.
- Travel north beyond the Crown and Tiragisu stage-item area to reach the balcony.
- Collect the Nduja Fritta Tanto to open the gate, then touch Cosmo.
- After the unlock sound, finish the run and buy Cosmo from Character Selection.
A character who already owns Golden Eggs does not become a zero-Egg character when the Egg toggle is disabled. Select a character with an actual Egg count of zero.
Spell alternative
After obtaining the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane, use the spell-entry feature and enter `lhovistoio`. The first character is a lowercase `l`, not the number 1.
Use two hidden birds without spending weapon slots
Cosmo has no conventional starting weapon. Peachone and Ebony Wings are attached as hidden weapons, do not use the regular weapon slots, and cannot unite into Vandalier.
The character starts with 20 Max Health, +1 Recovery, +30% Move Speed, +20% Luck, and +1 Revival. Every level adds +1 Recovery and +1% Luck, while every 100 levels adds +1 Revival, all without a cap. Protect the low starting health while building levels.
Common mistakes
- The selected character must own zero Golden Eggs; turning Eggs off is not enough.
- Do not unite the two birds into Vandalier.
- Continue north beyond Crown and Tiragisu to reach the balcony.
- The spell starts with a lowercase `l`.
