Sypha Belnades unlock guide: Slogra and Gaibon

Quick answer: defeat Slogra and Gaibon as Grant Danasty

Sypha Belnades is unlocked by defeating Slogra and Gaibon while playing as Grant Danasty. Japanese guides list Sypha as Sypha Vernandes and Slogra as Berrigan.

Who this guide is for

• You need the required character for Sypha's challenge.
• The Japanese and English boss names do not match.
• Grant Danasty is still locked.

Unlock Grant first

Grant Danasty is unlocked by evolving Water Dragon Whip. If Grant is not available, complete that evolution before attempting Sypha's boss condition.

Use the Ode to Castlevania whip evolution chart to check the required passive item.

Unlock steps

1. Unlock Grant Danasty.
2. Select Grant on the character screen.
3. Start Ode to Castlevania.
4. Progress through the castle and defeat Slogra and Gaibon.
5. Finish the run and check the character list for Sypha Belnades.

The sources agree on Grant as the required character and on defeating both bosses. Do not stop after defeating only one of them.

If Sypha does not unlock

• Confirm that you selected Grant Danasty.
• Make sure both Slogra and Gaibon were defeated.
• On a Japanese installation, match Slogra to the displayed name Berrigan.
• Check the castle gates if you cannot reach the relevant area.
