Vampire Survivors: 7 Base-Game Secret Character Unlocks
Seven base-game secret characters and how to unlock them
Work through secret characters according to the stages and relics you already have. Leda becomes available once you can enter Gallo Tower. Minnah Mannarah requires the Yellow Sign. Gains Boros, Big Trouser, and Gyorunton become practical as their special stages unlock.
This guide covers seven notable characters that can be unlocked through normal solo gameplay. It excludes DLC, Adventures, and spell-based shortcuts, so every method works without keyboard input on mobile.

Start with Leda and Minnah Mannarah
Leda
In Gallo Tower, keep moving south. The surroundings eventually become dark; continue farther south until Leda appears. Defeat Leda to complete the condition.
Do not head north. Build enough damage and movement speed to travel through the darker section without being trapped by enemies.
Minnah Mannarah
Minnah requires the Yellow Sign. After obtaining it, enter Dairy Plant and collect the cheese. A group of werewolves appears; defeat all of them to finish the unlock.
Picking up the cheese and leaving is not enough. Treat the spawned werewolves as the second half of the same objective.
Unlock three characters from special stages
Gains Boros
After unlocking Hyper Mode for three normal stages, The Bone Zone becomes available. Travel north until you find a ring of flowers. Stand inside the ring and remain there until the unlock sound plays.
Do not leave immediately after finding the flowers. The condition completes only after you wait inside the ring long enough.
Big Trouser
After unlocking Hyper Mode for four normal stages, Moongolow becomes available. Collect and fully upgrade all 16 standard stage items, then quit the run while every one is at maximum level.
Simply collecting all 16 is not enough. Do not wait for a game over after maxing them; use the quit option while the completed set is still active.
Gyorunton
After unlocking Hyper Mode for five normal stages, Boss Rash becomes available. Before entering, set Max Weapons to 1. Survive for 15 minutes to complete the condition.
Choosing only one weapon during play is not the same as setting the weapon limit. Check the Max Weapons setting before starting the run.
Reopen a coffin for Random
Random is unlocked by opening a coffin again in one of the first five normal stages after that stage's coffin character has already been obtained. The Milky Way Map makes the coffin easier to find on a return visit.
If the coffin has never been opened on that stage, the first interaction unlocks the regular coffin character instead. Complete the coffin character first, then return later for Random.
Save Mask of the Red Death for late game
Mask of the Red Death unlocks when you defeat the red Reaper that arrives after a stage's time limit. This is not an efficient early-game target.
Collect the major relics and develop the required defensive and offensive evolutions before treating the Reaper as a separate objective. The preparation is much heavier than for the other six characters, so do not plan to complete it during the same progression run.
If a character does not appear
- Confirm that the required stage or the Yellow Sign is unlocked.
- Complete the entire condition, including the spawned enemies or required quit action.
- Return to character selection after the run.
- If a price is shown, purchase the character with gold.
