How to Unlock Toastie on PC and Mobile
Short answer: unlock Exdash first, then use the timed input or a spell

Toastie cannot be unlocked until Exdash is available. For the normal route, defeat the Stalker, Drowner, or Trickster with a compatible instant-kill effect. When Toastie briefly appears in the lower-right corner, press down and confirm together. On a keyboard, use the Down Arrow and Enter.
Normal unlock steps
- Unlock Exdash.
- Enter a stage containing the Stalker, Drowner, or Trickster.
- Prepare a compatible instant-kill effect such as Rosary, Gorgeous Moon, Infinite Corridor, or Crimson Shroud.
- Defeat the target and immediately press down + confirm when Toastie appears in the lower-right corner.
- Listen for the unlock sound.
The popup lasts roughly half a second, so prepare the input before triggering the kill. Some older guides only mention the green Stalker in Dairy Plant, but current references also list the Drowner and Trickster.
Spell route on mobile
- Unlock Exdash.
- Obtain the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane.
- Open the spell-entry feature made available by the relic.
- Enter `tramezzini`.
The ordinary Secrets list does not always display a spell field. Do not type into an unrelated screen; first confirm that you have the relic and have opened its spell-entry feature.
How to use Toastie
Toastie starts with Peachone and only 1 Max Health. One early collision can end the run, so prioritize Revivals, Armor, and a weapon that protects the space around you.
Luck rises by 20% every ten levels and reaches +200% including the starting bonus at level 50. Max Health becomes 9,999 at level 100, and Armor becomes 65,520 at level 200. The main challenge is surviving the opening and gaining levels quickly.
Common mistakes
- Unlock Exdash first.
- This is not a procedure for defeating the Red Death with normal damage.
- Use the Down Arrow rather than the S key for the keyboard route.
- On a touch-only device, use the spell route after obtaining the relic when the timed input cannot be reproduced.
