Vampire Survivors Limit Break Guide: How to Get the Great Gospel
The short answer: get the Yellow Sign, then finish Cappella Magna
Limit Break is unlocked by defeating the final boss in Cappella Magna after obtaining the Yellow Sign, then picking up the Great Gospel it drops. After that, you can turn Limit Break on or off from the stage-selection screen.
The option lets later level-ups improve your weapons after their normal equipment levels are complete. It is a mid-to-late base-game system, not something a new player needs during the first few runs.
Unlock order
- Reach level 80 in Gallo Tower to unlock Cappella Magna.
- Progress through Moongolow and Holy Forbidden to collect the Yellow Sign.
- Enter Cappella Magna with the Yellow Sign already obtained.
- Survive to the final encounter and defeat the last boss.
- Pick up the Great Gospel dropped after the fight.
- On a later run, enable Limit Break on the stage-selection screen.
Without the Yellow Sign, the final encounter that leads to the Great Gospel does not occur. Complete the Holy Forbidden and Yellow Sign guide first if that relic is still missing.
If the Great Gospel is not unlocking

Defeating the boss is not the final input. You must collect the dropped relic. If weapon effects cover the screen, inspect the area where the boss fell before leaving.
When to use Limit Break
Limit Break matters after your normal weapons and passive items have reached their regular levels. It fits long survival attempts, Endless runs, and other sessions that continue producing experience after a build is complete.
It does not replace the normal evolution process. Build the weapon and passive combination needed for your objective first, collect an eligible chest for the evolution, and use later levels for Limit Break bonuses.
