Vampire Survivors: Abyss Foscari Stage Guide
Abyss Foscari progression requires two runs
After opening Abyss Foscari, plan on at least two character-specific runs:
- Use Maruto Cuts with Legionnaire to break the red Seal of the Abyss.
- Use Eleanor Uziron with SpellStrom to break the blue Seal of the Banished and face Je-Ne-Viv.
Defeating Je-Ne-Viv unlocks Hyper Abyss Foscari. If Abyss Foscari itself is still locked, first break the green seal by following the Lake Foscari guide.
Run 1: break the red seal
Use Maruto Cuts. Raise Eskizzibur to level 8 and Armor to level 5, then open a chest to evolve Eskizzibur into Legionnaire.
From the stage start, travel south toward the two Crowns, cross the long stone bridge to the west, and take the opening north. Use Legionnaire to break the large red crystal. This unlocks Luminaire Foscari and opens the dark section beyond the seal.

Run 2: break the blue seal
Use Eleanor Uziron. Raise SpellString, SpellStream, and SpellStrike to level 6, then open a chest to combine them into SpellStrom.
Return to the area beyond the broken red seal and continue northwest. The blue crystal is between the Attractorb and Stone Mask stage items. Break it with SpellStrom to unlock Genevieve Gruyere and begin the Je-Ne-Viv encounter.

How the Je-Ne-Viv battle works
The encounter removes your normal equipment. Collect the weapons provided inside the arena, including ranged options such as Magic Wand, Whip, and Prismatic Missile. Keep moving, collect the arena pickups, and attack from a safe distance.
Defeating Je-Ne-Viv unlocks Hyper Abyss Foscari. Genevieve Gruyere and Je-Ne-Viv are separate playable characters; breaking the blue seal unlocks Genevieve, while Je-Ne-Viv has a later character challenge.
Quick checklist
- Abyss Foscari is open.
- Red run: Maruto Cuts, level 8 Eskizzibur, level 5 Armor, Legionnaire.
- Blue run: Eleanor Uziron, all three spell weapons at level 6, SpellStrom.
- The red seal is broken before attempting the blue route.
- The Je-Ne-Viv arena loadout replaces your normal build.
