How to Unlock and Evolve Ammo Appalate in Vampire Survivors
Short answer: defeat 251,096 shooting enemies in total
Item | Details |
|---|---|
Unlock | Defeat a total of 251,096 shooting enemies |
Attack | Aims in the faced direction and stockpiles bullets while no target is in range |
Evolution | Level 8 Ammo Appalate + level 5 Bracer = Gunastrophe |
Ammo Appalate is a base-game weapon unlocked through a cumulative enemy count. You do not need to defeat 251,096 enemies in one run. Progress carries across runs, and the weapon joins the normal level-up pool after the requirement is complete.
How to unlock Ammo Appalate
- Keep playing runs that contain shooting enemies.
- Defeat 251,096 shooting enemies in total.
- Check Unlocks or the Collection after the run.
- Select Ammo Appalate when it appears in a later level-up choice.
The requirement is cumulative. Use a stable high-kill build instead of weakening a run just to force this unlock.
How the weapon works
Ammo Appalate fires bursts of small bullets at the closest enemy in the direction your character faces. When no enemy is in range, it stores shots and releases the accumulated bullets when a target appears.
It concentrates damage in front of the character but does not automatically protect the rear. Face the largest group and pair it with a weapon that covers nearby or rear approaches.
How to evolve it into Gunastrophe
- Raise Ammo Appalate to level 8.
- Raise Bracer to level 5.
- Open a chest that can grant an evolution.
Bracer must be at its maximum level. Gunastrophe replaces the forward-focused pattern with unorthodox shots aimed at enemies in sight.
If it does not unlock or evolve
- The counter covers shooting enemies, not every enemy defeated.
- The total does not have to be completed in one run.
- Confirm Bracer is level 5.
- Use a chest that is eligible to evolve weapons.
