How to Unlock and Use Scorej-Oni
Short answer: travel right on Tiny Bridge and defeat Scorej-Oni at the source of the thunder
Item | Details |
|---|---|
Prerequisite | Unlock Tiny Bridge |
Unlock | Travel about 20 tiles right and defeat the hostile Scorej-Oni |
Starting weapon | None in a normal weapon slot; starts with a hidden Lightning Ring |
Spell | `notsureitsthunder` |
Scorej-Oni is unlocked by traveling right on Tiny Bridge and defeating the enemy with the same name near the source of the thunder. The route is opposite the Chaos Altemanna objective on the left, so move right from the start when this character is your goal.
Normal unlock steps
- Reach level 80 in Inverse Gallo Tower to unlock Tiny Bridge.
- Enter Tiny Bridge and keep moving right from the starting point.
- At roughly 20 map tiles, listen for thunder and locate the hostile Scorej-Oni.
- Deal direct damage until the enemy is defeated.
- After the unlock cue, finish the run and buy Scorej-Oni from character selection.
The enemy resists knockback, freezing, instant kills, and debuffs. Build reliable direct damage before approaching instead of depending on status effects.
Spell alternative
After obtaining the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane and gaining access to spell entry, enter `notsureitsthunder`. If the touch version only shows the Secrets list, confirm that the separate spell-entry feature has been unlocked.
Hidden Lightning Rings do not consume weapon slots
Scorej-Oni has no conventional starting weapon, but begins with one hidden Lightning Ring. Another hidden ring is added every 8 levels, reaching six rings at level 40. These hidden weapons do not use normal weapon slots.
The character starts with 108 Max Health, -20% Move Speed, and +20% Area. Compensate for the slow movement and take a close-range defensive weapon while the hidden rings are still accumulating.
Common mistakes
- Travel right on Tiny Bridge.
- Use direct damage because the enemy resists several disabling effects.
- An empty starting-weapon slot does not mean the hidden Lightning Ring is inactive.
- Hidden Lightning Rings do not consume normal weapon slots.
