Required DLC | Operation Guns |
Unlock condition | Open the coffin in Neo Galuga |
Starting weapon | Long Gun |

Bill Rizer begins the main Operation Guns character chain. Open his coffin in Neo Galuga, then use Bill to evolve Long Gun into Prototype A. That evolution unlocks Lance Bean.
Unlock steps
- Enable the Operation Guns DLC and select Neo Galuga.
- Follow the question-mark marker toward the coffin.
- Defeat the enemies guarding the coffin.
- Touch the coffin to unlock Bill Rizer.
- Finish the run and purchase Bill on the character selection screen.
See the Neo Galuga stage guide for the detailed coffin route. The purchase price scales with your character purchases, so use the amount shown in your game.
Spell alternative
After obtaining the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane and unlocking spell entry, enter `runandrizer` in the Secrets menu. You still need the Operation Guns DLC.
Evolve Long Gun next
Requirement | Condition |
|---|---|
Long Gun | Level 8 (maximum) |
Weapon Power-Up | Hold it |
Treasure chest | Open after meeting the requirements |
Level Long Gun to 8, obtain Weapon Power-Up, and open an evolution-capable chest to receive Prototype A. Completing this evolution unlocks Lance Bean.
Weapon Power-Up is the shared evolution item for Operation Guns weapons. If you plan to evolve several guns in one run, check how many Weapon Power-Ups remain after each evolution. The Operation Guns evolution chart lists every combination.
How to use Bill Rizer
Bill starts with 150 Max Health, +20% Projectile Speed, +4 Skip, and +4 Banish. At increasing kill thresholds, he gains more Projectile Speed and Might. Keep defeating enemies at a manageable density instead of spending long periods away from them if you want his passive to grow.
For the Lance unlock, reserve a passive-item slot for Weapon Power-Up and prioritize Long Gun levels. Once both requirements are ready, open a suitable chest to secure Prototype A.
If it does not unlock
- Confirm that the Operation Guns DLC is enabled.
- Defeat all enemies around the Neo Galuga coffin before touching it.
- Raise Long Gun to level 8.
- Make sure Weapon Power-Up is in your inventory.
- Open an evolution-capable chest after meeting the requirements.
- Finish the run and reopen character selection after evolving the weapon.
