When the evolution is the goal, reserve a passive-item slot for Empty Tome. When the effect itself is the goal, compare whether the main weapons in the current run can use that stat.
Requirements for Holy Wand
- Raise Magic Wand to level 8.
- Hold Empty Tome at level 1 or higher.
- After meeting both conditions, open a chest that can produce an evolution.
Not every chest is guaranteed to evolve a weapon. On many early normal stages, a chest from a boss that appears at or after 10 minutes is the practical starting point, but stage-specific exceptions exist.
If the evolution does not appear
- Confirm that Magic Wand is level 8.
- Confirm that Empty Tome is in the passive-item slots.
- Check that it has not been confused with another evolution material.
- Check whether the chest could produce an evolution under that stage's conditions.
