Obsidian Knight PvP Guide: Format, Leagues, and Rewards
PvP compares progress in the same run instead of direct combat
Obsidian Knight PvP does not have you attack another player's character directly. Participants attempt the same run, and the player who reaches farther ranks higher. Build for consistent progress rather than looking for attacks that counter another player's equipment.
The official store describes competitive PvP, and the iOS update history confirms that four additional leagues were introduced.
Compare your run result, not the opponent's equipment
What direct-combat PvP may suggest | What to check here first |
|---|---|
Elemental counters to another player | Your wave clearing and survival |
Countering an opponent's equipment | Where your run stopped |
PvP-specific controls | Alignment between Skill Cards, equipment, and permanent progression |
One highest score | Stable progress across several runs |
Rank alone does not explain what to improve. Record the stopping point and end reason for every run.
Before entering PvP
- Check the current league, remaining time, and visible reward tiers.
- Set your equipment and decide on one main skill plan.
- Complete one attempt and record where the run ended.
- Separate low damage from low survival.
- Change one part of the setup and compare another attempt.
Record seven items before entering
- Current points and league name
- Time remaining in the season
- Next visible reward tier
- Equipped items
- Skill Card plan and disabled-card settings
- Visible survival values such as Armor, maximum health, and Potions
- Previous best progression and first failure reason
Capture the screen so you can compare league, reward, and season states later.
Use the first three runs as a baseline
Run | End point | End reason | Main plan completed | Survival | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | |||||
2 | |||||
3 |
Keep the setup unchanged for these runs. Changing equipment or cards every attempt removes the baseline needed to tell whether a later adjustment helped.
What to review
Result | First review |
|---|---|
The run ends early | Equipment, early survival, and scattered damage roles |
You die late in the run | Armor, maximum health, recovery, and the source of damage taken |
You survive but do not climb | Enemy clear speed and overlapping attack roles |
Attempts vary too much | Card choices and the number of changes between runs |
A boss stops progress | Survival at boss entry, single-target damage, and retained wave clearing |
Potions run out first | Fight duration and whether Potion, Armor, or maximum health fails first |
Change one factor
- Select the most common failure across the three baseline runs.
- Decide whether it belongs to Skill Cards, equipment, or permanent progression.
- Change one factor rather than several systems.
- Repeat three runs with the same plan.
- Compare the lowest result and end reasons, not only the highest result.
Check league and rewards in the current game screen
The dedicated wiki updated in September 2026 and several player screen reports from July through October agree that Obsidian League begins at 600 points, advances every 100 points, and reaches its final reward tier at League 13 and 1,800 points.
You can continue past 2,000 points, but that does not establish another reward tier. See the PvP league rewards table for the current Orb and Darksteel milestones. Before playing and before the season ends, check:
- Current points and league name
- Points needed for the next visible reward
- Time remaining in the season
- Whether a reward has already been claimed
- Starting points after a reset
Check the visible reward chest as well as the points and league name. Progress beyond 1,800 points does not by itself prove that another reward tier exists; keep point progression and the reward cap separate.
Save the season-end state
Time | What to save |
|---|---|
Before the end | Points, league, reward tier, and time remaining |
Immediately after | Result, reward display, and claim state |
After restart | Points, league, and new-season display |
Use current screens for starting points and ranking behavior. Do not make a previous season's values universal.
If a season reward does not appear, record the screen before and after the reset, your app version, and player information before contacting support. Do not reinstall the app before confirming that your progress is linked to an account.
Before contacting support
- Confirm the league and reward tier shown before the season ended.
- Check whether the reward is already marked as claimed.
- Close and restart the app with the same account.
- Compare the before, after, and restarted screens.
- Send the player information, app version, and event time through the support route.
Never send a password or verification code, and do not reinstall before confirming progress linkage.
Avoid these mistakes
- Looking only for counters to another player's character
- Rating a build from one highest result
- Changing equipment, Skill Cards, and permanent progression together
- Treating 2,000 points as a guaranteed extra reward tier
- Treating an older season's starting points or rank rules as fixed
