Obsidian Knight Gear Preset Guide
Gear Preset saves an equipment loadout
Gear Preset saves the equipped armor, rings, necklace, and weapon so the loadout can be restored outside a run. It becomes useful when farming, PvP, and Challenges use different complete equipment sets.
The community wiki currently lists three preset purchases at 20, 50, and 70 Rubies. Verify the current slot count and prices on the merchant screen.
Decide whether you need it
Situation | Priority | Reason |
|---|---|---|
You use one equipment set | Low | Manual switching is still limited |
You own two or more complete sets | High | Reduces missed pieces during switching |
PvP and farming need different gear | High | Speeds up changes between modes |
Equipment power is still too low | Low | Presets do not raise stats directly |
Buy a preset after you have useful loadouts to switch between.
Save and verify a loadout
- Equip the intended weapon, armor, rings, and necklace.
- Record each piece and its upgrade state.
- Open the traveling merchant on a campaign map.
- Check the Gear Preset description, price, and open slot.
- Save the current loadout from the character menu.
- Equip different gear, then restore the preset and verify every slot.
The current wiki describes this as an out-of-run character-menu function, not an equipment change during combat.
Keep a purpose ledger
Preset | Purpose | Weapon | Armor set | Checked date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
A | Farming | |||
B | PvP | |||
C | Challenge |
Even if the game does not support custom names, a separate ledger prevents choosing the wrong loadout.
Check after switching
- Every slot changed to the expected item.
- An upgraded item is reflected in the saved loadout.
- No accessory from another purpose remains equipped.
- Pre-run Power and important effects match the intended setup.
After upgrading or replacing equipment, do not assume an older preset updates automatically. Inspect the saved contents again.
