Obsidian Knight Armor Set Comparison and Selection Guide
Choose an armor set by purpose, not by a universal tier list
Public information is not reliable enough to rank one Obsidian Knight armor set as universally best. Check the current set effects in your game first, then decide whether you need protection from melee attacks, protection from ranged attacks, or faster progression.
This guide is for players deciding between Stellar, Delirium, Monocrat, and The Seven.
What is currently confirmed
Official update histories confirm that equipment sets have upgrade trees powered by Darksteel. The Android update history also says the Daily Shop guarantees one item from each equipment set.
However, public guides do not agree on the exact effect of every set, current values, or how The Seven is obtained. Treat the equipment screen in your current version as the deciding source before buying an item or spending Darksteel.
Current comparison status
Set | Common description in public community discussions | How to use this information |
|---|---|---|
Stellar | Oriented toward avoiding or reducing melee damage | Confirm the current effect in your equipment screen |
Delirium | Oriented toward avoiding or reducing ranged damage | Confirm the current effect in your equipment screen |
Monocrat | Oriented toward XP gain and progression | Check whether the displayed effect matches your farming goal |
The Seven | Acquisition and effect reports conflict between sources | Avoid priority investment until you can verify it in game |
These are recurring community descriptions, not an official stat table. Another public guide assigns attack, status-effect, and barrier roles to the same sets, which does not match the community comparison. This guide therefore does not publish exact values or a fixed ranking.
Five-step selection method
- Classify your current failure as melee damage, ranged damage, insufficient damage, or slow progression.
- Read each available set effect and item slot in the current equipment screen.
- Count the pieces you already own and check whether the Daily Shop offers a missing slot.
- Choose one set you will actually use, then focus collection and Darksteel upgrades on it.
- Compare the same activity before and after the change, and stop investing if the effect does not solve the problem.
When to finish the set you already started
Several public community discussions recommend completing a nearly finished set before switching to a different one. If your current set still supports progression and only one or two pieces are missing, compare the remaining collection cost before changing direction.
Completion alone is not a reason to spend resources when the set does not address your current failure. A progression-focused effect may not solve a run that ends because of incoming melee damage.
When to consider switching
Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
Melee enemies surround and defeat you | A current effect that addresses melee damage or avoidance |
Ranged enemies drain health from a distance | A current effect that addresses ranged damage or avoidance |
You survive but progression is slow | Whether your available set has an XP-related effect |
Missing pieces do not appear | Daily Shop pieces versus an immediate normal-equipment upgrade |
Darksteel is scarce | Limit upgrades to the single set you currently use |
You want The Seven | Verify its current acquisition route and conditions in game |
Before spending resources
- Do not make a purchase based on old values or prices.
- Read the current displayed effect instead of choosing by set name alone.
- Avoid spreading Darksteel across several sets at the same time.
- Do not assume a fixed acquisition method or payment requirement for The Seven from conflicting public reports.
- Do not assume the Android shop guarantee works identically on iOS.
