Obsidian Knight The Hunt and Darksteel Guide
The short answer: track the initial Hunt list and both post-clear refreshes
The official Android update history states that The Hunt refreshes twice after all current targets are cleared and awards Darksteel. Treat the initial list as stage 0 and the refreshed lists as stages 1 and 2 so you can tell whether you finished the cycle or missed a refresh.
Official iOS history confirms that The Hunt exists, but it does not establish the same refresh count or reward structure on iOS.
Record five details before starting
- Android or iOS.
- Store version you can verify.
- Number of incomplete Hunt targets.
- Current Darksteel balance.
- Equipment set and failure symptom you intend to improve.
Without a starting balance, you cannot separate Hunt gains from another source. Use the before-and-after values on your current screen instead of a fixed amount from an old guide.
From the initial list through refresh two
- Record all stage-0 targets and the incomplete count.
- Clear the list, then check the completion and reward screens.
- If the list changes, record the new targets and balance as stage 1.
- Clear stage 1 and check the next refresh and balance.
- If the list changes again, record it as stage 2.
- After stage 2, inspect the current screen instead of assuming a third refresh.
- Finish the Hunt review before selecting one set upgrade to test.

If the list does not refresh after a clear
- Check whether any target still displays as incomplete.
- Inspect the current screen for an unclaimed reward action.
- Reopen the Hunt screen and compare the target list.
- Record device, OS, version, date, and the Hunt screen.
- If the state still conflicts with the official description, send that record to official support.
This guide does not declare a restart or a particular reset time mandatory because the official note does not specify the exact refresh action or time.
Avoid splitting Darksteel across several sets before you know which weakness you are trying to fix. Choose the set you use most often, decide whether you need damage or survival, upgrade one item, and test the same destination three times.
The official notes do not confirm every Hunt target, reward amount, refresh time, or whether the same refresh count applies to iOS. Use the values shown in your current game version.
