Obsidian Knight Lore and Ruler of Knowledge Guide
Start the Lore achievement from the in-game Lore book
Lore entries are hidden pieces of story connected to each region map. When working toward the Ruler of Knowledge achievement, first use the in-game Lore book to identify an incomplete region instead of trying every step from an old checklist.
Public guides agree that interacting with specific map elements adds Lore to the regional description. Reports disagree on some exact tap counts, sequences, and difficulty requirements, so treat those details as version-sensitive until the current game screen confirms them.
Use the Lore book as the progress ledger
Follow the region order shown in the current Lore book instead of an old web checklist. Before searching, classify each region into one of three states.
State | What the Lore book shows | Next action |
|---|---|---|
Collected | Regional description is present | Leave it unchanged and move on |
Missing | A hint or incomplete description remains | Search only that region |
Recheck | A notification appeared but the text did not change | Restart and inspect the Lore book again |
Closing one missing region at a time is more reliable than repeating every known interaction.
How to search for missing Lore
- Open the Lore book from the book icon in the upper-right area of the screen.
- Compare the regional descriptions and identify the incomplete one.
- Read the hint shown for that region.
- Return to the matching map and inspect buildings or background elements related to the hint.
- After interacting, look for the notification that a Lore entry was added.
- Reopen the Lore book and confirm that the regional text changed.
Do not treat a sound effect alone as proof that the entry was recorded. Confirm both the notification and the Lore book.
One-region search cycle
- Select one incomplete region in the Lore book.
- Copy the hint wording into a note.
- Return to that region and inspect buildings or background elements related to the hint.
- Capture the map and suspected target before interacting.
- Interact and check whether a Lore-added notification appears.
- Return to the Lore book and check whether the description changed.
- Mark the region as collected, missing, or recheck.
Return to the Lore book after each region. Interacting across several maps at once makes it harder to identify which target added the entry.
If the Lore entry does not register
Situation | What to check next |
|---|---|
No notification appears | Confirm that the hint and region match |
A target is hidden behind interface elements | Check screen orientation and the device display area instead of tapping blindly |
The interaction does not work on another difficulty | Retry the same region on Normal |
A notification appeared but the book did not change | Close and restart the app, then check the book again |
You cannot identify the missing entry | Compare every regional description one by one |
You cannot tell whether an entry was recorded | Compare the Lore book before and after the interaction |
The book looks complete but the achievement is locked | Separate in-game completion from external achievement sync |
Normal difficulty and an app restart are troubleshooting steps reported by players, not guaranteed fixes for every version or device. Do not reinstall before confirming that your progress is linked to an account.
How to check Ruler of Knowledge
Public achievement references describe Ruler of Knowledge as the achievement for collecting all Lore. If it remains incomplete, inspect every region in the Lore book before assuming the external achievement service failed.
Troubleshooting order
- Review every region from the first Lore-book entry to the last.
- Treat any remaining hint or incomplete description as missing.
- If every region is complete, check the in-game achievement state.
- If the game shows completion, check Google Play Games synchronization.
- If only external sync is missing, verify the account and connection before repeating Lore interactions.
Personal Lore tracking table
Copy region names from the current game screen. Do not invent a condition when the screen does not confirm it.
Lore-book order | Region | Hint | State | Notification | Book updated |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Missing | Not checked | Not checked | ||
2 | Missing | Not checked | Not checked | ||
3 | Missing | Not checked | Not checked |
If an update changes the order or hints, preserve the older record and add the checked version and date to the new one.
Avoid these actions
- Tapping every target from a public list without checking the Lore book
- Treating a notification alone as proof of completion
- Reinstalling before confirming account linkage
- Treating version-sensitive tap counts or sequences as universal requirements
- Assuming an external sync problem means the Lore entry itself is missing
