Obsidian Knight Power Increase Checklist
Check every progression layer before spending everything in one place
If your progress stops, review equipment, character growth, skill choices, and permanent upgrades in order. A higher Power number is useful only when the upgrade addresses the reason your run is failing.
Record a baseline before upgrading
A Power number alone does not show what improved. Record these details in the same stage or mode before spending resources.
Detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
Stage or mode | Prevents comparisons between different enemies or rules |
End point or end time | Shows whether the run progressed farther |
Direct reason the run ended | Identifies damage, survival, healing, or time as the problem |
Main equipment and skill plan | Keeps the test build consistent |
Resource spent | Shows whether the result justified the cost |
Power before the change | Lets you compare the display with the battle result |
Fix one problem per upgrade. Changing offense and survival together makes it difficult to identify what worked.
1. Review equipment
The official description identifies equipment and item collection as core progression systems. When you obtain new equipment, compare both its displayed values and whether it supports your current skill plan.
- Make sure no equipment slot is empty.
- Review newly acquired items instead of leaving them unchecked.
- Do not add only survival when damage is the problem, or only damage when survival is the problem.
- Change one slot at a time when comparing results.

2. Check character growth and unused resources
Character leveling is also part of the official progression loop. Check whether your current screen has an affordable upgrade, but do not empty an unfamiliar currency before learning its other uses.
Having unused resources does not mean they should all be spent now. Read the use, permanence, shared costs, and the amount needed for your next goal on the current screen.
3. Give skill cards one clear plan
Power can rise while the run remains weak if skill cards are split across unrelated effects. Prioritize cards that connect your main attack, survival, and trigger conditions. If the exclusion feature is available, remove cards you do not use.
4. Review Weapon Magic
The official version 2.4.11 history announces five Weapon Magic trees. If the feature is visible, check whether resources are going into a tree that supports the build you actually use.
5. Review set upgrades and Darksteel
Official update notes introduce equipment-set upgrade trees that use Darksteel. Treat normal equipment replacement and set-tree upgrades as separate checks, and use the current screen for exact effects and costs.
6. Review the Legendary Skill Tree
The official version 2.4.11 history describes a Legendary Skill Tree that progresses to level 150. Only choose an upgrade after reading the current node and connecting it to your present weakness.
Narrow the upgrade by failure type
Current symptom | Check first | Check next |
|---|---|---|
Normal enemies take too long to defeat | Main weapon and damage-producing cards | Weapon Magic and offensive permanent upgrades |
Enemy groups overwhelm the run | Area coverage and trigger frequency | Survival cards and defensive equipment |
The run reaches the boss but cannot finish it | Main single-target damage and card chain | Weapon Magic and offensive set upgrades |
Healing runs out | Cause of incoming damage and healing source | Dodge, Potion interactions, and survival upgrades |
Power rises but the end point stays the same | Whether the upgrade supports the active build | Revert one variable and compare again |
A different mode suddenly feels impossible | That mode's rules and failure reason | A mode-specific equipment and card plan |
This table is a diagnostic entry point, not a universal ranking. An upgrade can wait when its visible effect does not address the current failure, even if it increases Power.
Seven questions before spending
- Can you describe the failure you want to fix in one sentence?
- Does the visible upgrade description directly address it?
- Can the effect activate with your current weapon or card plan?
- Are its prerequisite nodes or equipment conditions satisfied?
- Have you checked another option that uses the same resource?
- Can you test the change three times under the same conditions?
- Will enough currency remain for the next option if the result is small?
Do not empty a resource only because a number rises when the description, trigger, or connection to the active build is unclear.
7. Retest under the same conditions
Use the same stage and build for three runs. One result can be affected by card choices or battle variation rather than the upgrade itself.
Comparison | Record |
|---|---|
Before the upgrade | Power, end point, and failure reason |
First run after | Whether the effect activated and the first changed situation |
Second run after | Whether the improvement repeated |
Third run after | Size of the improvement and the new limiting factor |
Result after the upgrade | Next check |
|---|---|
Enemies die faster | Keep the offensive change and check survival |
You survive longer | Confirm that damage did not become the new limit |
The difference is unclear | Return to one changed variable and compare again |
You reach a new wall | Record the new failure reason and repeat the checklist |
If Power or the display does not change
- Confirm that the upgrade action was saved or completed.
- Confirm that it affects the currently equipped weapon, set, or build.
- Read the prerequisite and activation conditions again.
- Close the app normally, reopen it, and check the same screen.
- Even if the displayed value is unchanged, compare battle results under the same conditions.
- Save the screen and time, then include them in a support report if the issue repeats.
Do not clear app data or reinstall before confirming the account transfer and save method.
Summary
The goal is not only to increase a displayed Power number. It is to remove one current failure. Check equipment, levels, cards, Weapon Magic, set upgrades, and the Legendary Skill Tree in order, change one item, and compare three runs under the same conditions.
