Obsidian Knight 65 Islands Progress Log and Failure Guide
Track the 65 Islands in three layers
Official store update notes describe Island Explorer as 65 islands and 290 levels. They do not establish that every island has the same number of levels, and they do not provide a complete official table of island names, unlock conditions, or rewards.
Use one record with three layers instead:
- Location: island, level, and any rule shown on screen
- Failure: early defeat, enemy buildup, strong-enemy wall, timeout, or an unstable build
- Permanent system checked: Weapon Magic, Legendary Skill Tree, Skill Cards, or Mining Shards
Use the Act and island guide index when you need to choose an article from your current symptom. This page explains how to record and compare retries at the same location.
Record these details before a retry
Results can change with the app version and the cards offered during a run. Record the following before retrying:
Record | What to write |
|---|---|
App version | The number shown by the store or settings screen |
Location | The island name and level exactly as displayed |
Special rule | Copy the Challenge name or description; write “not shown” when absent |
Starting state | Visible HP, Armor, Potion, or other relevant values |
Build core | The trigger you want to establish and the effect that should follow it |
End point | Opening, mid-run, strong enemy, boss, or timeout |
Do not fill in hidden unlock conditions or enemy properties by guessing. Recording the exact screen text also makes the comparison usable after an update.
Classify the first failure
Symptom | Check first | Read next |
|---|---|---|
Normal enemies keep accumulating | Add a repeatable way to hit groups or the rear line, not only direct damage | |
You die near the opening | Establish a survival trigger and recovery before adding more damage | |
A strong enemy or boss stops the run | Maintain single-target pressure and survival at the same time | |
The run times out | Check for excess defense and add damage that triggers repeatedly | |
The build changes every run | Reduce the number of required cards and disable cards you do not use | |
A new system is not visible | Check the app version, current progress, and exact unlock text on screen |
Read what auto-battle lets you control before using advice that assumes manual movement or target selection.
Permanent systems tied to Island Explorer
The official Island Explorer description also identifies these systems:
System | Officially supported scope | Not asserted here |
|---|---|---|
Weapon Magic | Five branches: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Blood, and Nature | Every node effect, cost, or universal upgrade order |
Legendary Skill Tree | Progression up to level 150 | Individual nodes, unlock conditions, or total cost |
Skill Cards | Enhanced card selection | Unverified names, card numbers, or multipliers |
Mining / Shards | Shards obtained through Mining | Color rates, required attempts, or treating Shards as Darksteel |
Keep these systems separate with the five Weapon Magic branches, Legendary Skill Tree, and Shards versus Darksteel guides.
Compare three runs with one change
Use the same island and level, and change only one item per comparison.
Run | Change | Compare |
|---|---|---|
1 | Keep the current setup | The first failure point and symptom |
2 | Change one card or permanent upgrade that addresses that symptom | Whether the end point moves forward |
3 | Repeat the second-run plan | Whether the improvement is reproducible |
Use this compact progress log:
```text Version: Island / level: Rule shown on screen: First failure: One change: End point: Keep for the next run: ```
Add level-specific facts only after verification
This guide does not assert the names and order of all 65 islands, the level distribution, unlock levels, Challenge reset rules, Crystal use, enemies, bosses, rewards, or a fixed required level or Power. Add those details to level-specific guides only after they are visible in the game or confirmed by independent public sources.
For broader Act routes, continue to Act 1 completion, Act 2 progression, or Act 3 progression.
