Obsidian Knight Gold Farming Guide
Start with daily and repeatable content you can finish reliably
When Gold is limited, repeat content your current build can finish instead of forcing the hardest available stage. Public community discussions repeatedly identify Daily Treasure and PvP as Gold sources, but the best repeatable option depends on your progression and completion rate.
This guide is for beginners and early-progress players who need Gold for regular or set equipment and are unsure what to run first.
Daily priority order
- Check the map for an available Daily Treasure run.
- Complete it first when the current build can finish reliably.
- Use a PvP tier you can clear consistently as the next repeatable option.
- When PvP completion becomes unreliable, compare normal progression or another repeatable mode instead of chasing difficulty.
- Decide what the Gold is for before adding more runs.
Daily Treasure and PvP attempts, payouts, and reward displays may change with updates. Use the current game screen as the final reference.
Choose a route with three measures
Measure | What to record | Decision |
|---|---|---|
Completion rate | How many of three runs finish | Remove routes with repeated failures |
Time per run | Start to reward confirmation | Do not compare income without time |
Actual gain | Gold balance before and after | Confirm the balance change, not only a reward label |
Choose a route that finishes consistently and can be compared by actual gain per time, not automatically the hardest route.
Route comparison table
Route | Attempt | Completed | Time | Gold before | Gold after | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Daily Treasure | 1 | |||||
Daily Treasure | 2 | |||||
PvP | 1 | |||||
PvP | 2 | |||||
Other | 1 |
Keep optional ad rewards or reward multipliers in a separate comparison condition.
When to use Gold Drop equipment
Before equipping Gold Drop items or Fortifications, confirm that the farming setup can still finish the same content as the normal build. A larger Gold Drop value does not help when lower damage or survival removes earning opportunities.
Situation | Decision |
|---|---|
The farming build clears the same content reliably | Test the Gold Drop setup |
Potions are gone before the boss | Restore survival equipment |
Enemies take much longer to defeat | Restore offensive equipment |
The income difference is unclear | Compare two runs with each setup |
Old Gold Drop equipment is still owned | Check its farming use before selling |
Keep the stage, non-equipment build, and optional reward conditions consistent during comparison. Changing several factors at once hides whether Gold Drop made the difference.
Compare Gold Drop in four runs
- Run the same activity twice with the normal setup.
- Keep every condition except Gold Drop fixed.
- Run the same activity twice with the Gold Drop setup.
- Compare completion rate, time, and Gold gain.
Keep the normal setup as an option when a larger gain also causes slower runs or more failures.
When PvP is a useful farming route
PvP is repeatable and is frequently recommended as a Gold source in public community discussions. Once progression reaches a tier that the current build cannot finish, however, Gold gained for the same play time may fall.
- Choose a tier whose regular waves are stable.
- Do not sacrifice the offense or survival needed to finish just to select more Gold.
- When failures increase, compare the previous setup or another mode.
- Keep separate loadouts when Gold, XP, and other rewards require different stats.
Decide whether to stay in PvP
Result | Next action |
|---|---|
All three runs are stable | Continue recording the same tier |
One run fails | Identify the end reason and change one factor |
Several runs fail | Compare the previous stable setup or another route |
Gold rises but runs take much longer | Compare gain per time with Daily Treasure |
XP or another resource is also needed | Choose by the combined objective, not Gold alone |
Decide what the Gold is for
Buying small regular-equipment upgrades without a target can leave too little Gold when a missing set piece appears.
- Confirm that equipment can address the current cause of failure.
- Separate short-term replacement pieces from equipment you expect to keep.
- Check the missing slots in the set you are collecting.
- Set a minimum remaining balance before buying.
Official Android update information says the Daily Shop guarantees one item from each equipment set. When you have chosen a set, check whether a missing slot is available before repeatedly replacing regular equipment.
Write the purchase plan first
Candidate | Current price | Failure addressed | Alternative | Balance after | Decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Regular equipment | Wait | ||||
Missing set piece | Wait | ||||
Other | Wait |
Postpone purchases unrelated to the current failure and preserve enough Gold for a missing set piece when it appears in the Daily Shop.
If Gold does not increase as expected
- Compare the balance before and after on the same screen.
- Confirm that the run completed.
- Check whether optional ads or multiplier conditions were mixed.
- Check whether Gold Drop reduced speed or survival.
- Compare Daily Treasure, PvP, and another route with the same measures.
Use completion rate, time, and actual gain from the current version instead of an older guide's daily total or fixed attempt count.
Limits
- Community-reported daily totals, prices, and ad frequency are not treated as current fixed values.
- PvP, Daily Treasure, and Dungeon efficiency varies with progression and completion rate.
- This route does not require optional ads or an ad-removal purchase.
- Use the current game display for the exact Gold Drop calculation.
