Vampire Survivors Special Stage Unlock Order
Special-stage unlock order: Bone Zone, Moongolow, and Boss Rash
The main route is to defeat the 25-minute bosses on the five normal stages and increase the number of unlocked Hyper Modes. Three Hyper stages unlock The Bone Zone, four unlock Moongolow, and five unlock Boss Rash. Moongolow also leads to Holy Forbidden and the Yellow Sign.
Progress | Stage or transition | Main objective |
|---|---|---|
Hyper Mode on 3 normal stages | The Bone Zone | Defeat Sketamari and collect the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane |
Hyper Mode on 4 normal stages | Moongolow | Defeat the 14-minute boss with an eligible character |
Transfer from Moongolow | Holy Forbidden | Collect the Yellow Sign |
Hyper Mode on 5 normal stages | Boss Rash | Set Max Weapons to 1 and survive 15 minutes for Gyorunton |
The count is the number of different normal stages with Hyper Mode unlocked. Repeating the same stage does not add another point.
1. Open The Bone Zone after three Hyper unlocks
After opening Hyper Mode on three normal stages, enter The Bone Zone and locate Sketamari. Defeat it and collect the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane to open the Secrets menu.
The same stage also contains the route for Gains Boros: travel north and remain inside the ring of flowers. The character and relic objectives are separate, so they can be completed in different runs.
2. Open Moongolow after four Hyper unlocks
Moongolow appears after Hyper Mode has been unlocked on four normal stages. Before collecting the Yellow Sign, use an eligible standard character and defeat the boss that appears at 14 minutes to transfer to Holy Forbidden.
Moongolow also contains the Big Trouser condition: maximize all 16 standard passive items available on the stage. Separate that long leveling run from the Yellow Sign transfer when you want a clearer objective.
3. Collect the Yellow Sign in Holy Forbidden
Move through the corridor and collect the Yellow Sign at the far end. If the first attempt fails, Holy Forbidden remains selectable until the relic is taken.
The Yellow Sign adds Silver Ring, Gold Ring, Metaglio Left, and Metaglio Right to applicable stages. For the full corridor route, use the Holy Forbidden and Yellow Sign guide.
4. Open Boss Rash after five Hyper unlocks
Unlock Hyper Mode on all five normal stages to open Boss Rash. To unlock Gyorunton, set Max Weapons to 1 before the run and survive for 15 minutes.
The condition is the pre-run weapon-limit setting, not merely avoiding weapon pickups during play.
If a stage is missing
- Check which of the five main stages still lacks Hyper Mode.
- Enter that stage and defeat its 25-minute boss.
- Finish the result screen and reopen stage selection.
- If Moongolow does not transfer you, confirm that the Yellow Sign is still uncollected and that the character is eligible.
If the five main stages are not available yet, follow the base-stage progression guide. The base secret-character guide covers the character unlocks tied to these stages.
