Ant Colony Queen Relocation: How to Move Her Safely
Build another queen room before moving the queen
If the queen begins too close to an entrance, first build another room that can hold her deeper inside the nest. Select the completed room to reveal the relocation action.
Digging an empty space is not enough. The destination room must be built and selected.
Queen relocation steps
- Dig toward a location away from the enemy entrance.
- Build a room that can hold the queen at the destination.
- Wait for construction to finish.
- Select the completed new room.
- Use the relocation action when it appears.
- Confirm that the queen has moved on screen.
Use the names shown in your current game version. Community discussions may describe this facility as an egg-storage room, but that wording is not treated here as the official English UI label.
If the relocation action does not appear

Public sources do not confirm one exact unlock location for every version. If the required room is not in the construction list, stop searching for a hidden button and check the current mission and available buildings.
Do not choose the destination by distance alone
The run ends when the queen dies, so adding distance from the entrance matters. However, placing her at the deepest possible point is not automatically safe.
After moving her, check:
- whether enemies follow one controllable route to the queen;
- whether defenders can engage enemies on that route;
- whether food transport to the queen has become too long.
Change the queen position first, observe the next attack route, and then adjust defensive structures or barracks. Rebuilding everything at once makes it difficult to identify what worked.
Separate production problems from defense problems
If ant production slows after the move, review orders, food, and eggs rather than assuming the position itself is broken. If enemies still reach the queen, review the path and defender coverage.
