Ant Colony Perks: How to Use the Three Active Slots
Activate up to three perks
Ant Colony lets you activate up to three perks to support the colony's work. Locked perks become selectable after their displayed requirements are met.
Some perks strengthen a particular role, while others trade one ability for another. Read both the benefit and drawback instead of choosing by name alone. This guide focuses on how to revise the three active slots, not on a fixed best-perk ranking.

Identify the first job that stopped
Bottleneck | What to inspect | Perk direction |
|---|---|---|
Finding resources | Exploration opens no useful route | Read perks that support scouting |
Moving resources | Resources are visible but do not reach the nest | Check hauling and loader-related perks |
Production | Required items are not prepared in time | Check production-role perks |
Raiding | Progress into the enemy side stalls | Check warrior or raiding support |
Do not lock in three perks just because they look strong. Use the first failed job as the reason for occupying a slot.
Change one slot at a time
- Choose one cause from the previous failed run.
- Replace only one perk connected to that job.
- Retry the same location and observe whether the bottleneck moves.
- Keep the improved slot, then address the next shortage.
Changing all three slots at once makes it difficult to identify which perk helped.
Separate campaign and Endless Mode goals
In the campaign, support the first job preventing the current mission from progressing. In Endless Mode, prepare the deck and perks before the run, then use the first role that failed in the previous wave attempt as the next adjustment target.
Perk names and values can change. Prefer the current in-game description when it differs from an older guide.
